easter egg hunts

minnie participated in two easter egg hunts this year - north logan and river heights.

at the north logan hunt, they said "go!" and minnie just started running around on the field.

with a little coaching, she eventually got the hang of picking up eggs.

she had a better idea of what to expect at the river heights

 egg hunt, so she got really excited while we were walking to the park.

we were grateful for much needed rain, 

minnie was just grateful to get to hold the umbrella. 

hope is generally very happy.  

she rolled on to the tile and wasn't too pleased about it though. 

hope loves to look back at whoever is holding her.

i bought these cute sunglasses for hope and tried them on her. 

turns out, they don't fit because she doesn't have a bridge in her nose.  

she sure looks cute trying them on though.

little lambs

we went to visit some baby lambs.  curt is hope's physical therapist.  he and his kiddos birthed these lambs  for 4H.  minnie was really excited to chase them around, pet them and try to feed them.  plus, it was free fun.  when curt invited us, he said "it costs less than baby animal days."  he was right.  much less than baby animal days, much, much less.

park city

my parents let us use their time share for a week, so we took a little spring break trip to park city.  it was nice to get away with the fam and get together with some good friends for a few days.  my mom and dad came up for the first couple of days.  we went to church at stacie and jj's - so happy they are back in utah!  and we went to their house for dinner.  we also got to see sarah and jonah, and we spent some time with max and heidi's family.  christian and my dad went fishing and the girls acted 

like little fishies in the pool.  it was nice to have a few days away to just focus on each other. 

 

just being a girl

minnie is quite the girly girl.  she is decided to get out my eyelash curler and try to use it.  it was pretty cute.  she loves all things princess.  in fact, when my mom gave her the blue dress pictured above, she immediately called it her "cinderella dress".  because it is light blue, and cinderella's dress is light blue.  she consistently insists on wearing it.

accesorize

did i mention that the girls love to accessorize...

from necklaces in the mouth,

to helmets

 

and hats,

to matching booties

and umbrellas,

sunglasses, hairbows and boots, 

to cowboy hats,

and scarfs,

 

accent stickers on the head

to more sunglasses 

 

and an ankle bracelet to top it off.

organize a little bit

whenever i decide to purge clothes, or shoes or various and sundry items 

minnie likes to be involved.  she tells me that she wants to help me "organize a little bit".

i think i have told her that i needed help "organizing a little bit" and had her come in 

to my room to help on these projects so that she wouldn't wake hope up from her nap.

that is where the phrase started.  on this particular day, i was going through my excercise

clothes.  she LOVED helping with the organization.

we may have a little triathlete on our hands.  

don't mind the heels in the last picture.  she was just keeping it real.
