boots and ballerinas

why wouldn't we wear our ballerina swimsuit and snowboots together?

yikes! it's been two years?!?!

my grandpa reid used to give me carnations every year for my birthday.
this is a birthday tradition we will continue,
especially because minnie was so excited for her birthday flowers!

her birthday tea party with curious george,

count them...1 and 2!

chocolate milk and hot pink frosting with sparkles
(compliments of daddy)
should be a part of every girl's birthday.

papa built a cradle for minnie to rock her dolls.
she decided she wanted to be rocked too.

i can hardly believe that two years ago (feb. 3, 2012) minnie joined our little family.  this sounds so cliche...but it really does seem like just yesterday.

just a few of the many things we love about her...
-she talks in third person
-she talks, and talks, and talks
-loves to eat raw pasta and uncooked oatmeal
-LOVES books and LOVES to sing - when we get home from a trip, she will run to her bookshelf and just sit down to read books.  if it is quiet, we know that she is either reading her books or getting in to trouble.
-when she wants us to do something again she says, "dood it again"
-she is the best big sister ever
-a pixie cut looks great on her...as a mother, i really appreciate this because it is low maintenance
-nursery rhymes are her favorite, to listen to or recite
-she knows the names of all the kids in nursery
-she loves taking a bath
-she is a big fan of princesses and tea parties
-she loves long walks in the neighborhood in the backpack, jumping on the trampoline and swinging in the swing
-she also really loves curious george
-like her great grandpa meacham, she has a love for the moon.  she loves to go outside at night with her daddy to see if the moon is "awake"

this little pumpkin makes every day excite and adventurous.  we can't get enough of her.  she makes us smile and laugh every day.
