we built a gingerbread house and train.

notice the flames on the train.  it was fast!

on christmas eve, we took a trip to visit the big guy in the red suite. 

as you can see, minnie took a real liking to santa.

minnie got pretty good at taking off the bows and the tags. 

as you can see, she has a real affinity for the snow too.  

the skidster was a little too loud for her.  

plus, she had already been traumatized by the snow at that point.

minnie was excited to receive sippy cups for presents. we're grateful for her willingness to appreciate frugality this year. and we loved those santa toes and that ruffle bum.

temple square and grand america

the windows and toy store at grand america were mesmerizing. we liked that it was warm inside. temple square was cold, but festive. we liked the warm feelings we felt inside when we were there.

oh christmas tree, oh christmas tree!

this year we thought it would be more safe to have a felt tree that minnie could play with. she really seemed to like it.

thanks for the giving

thanksgiving was with the sabey side of the family this year. pete and katie were kind enough to have almost the while family sleep over for a few days. it was an adventure. we ate lots of good food. minnie loved the turkey and havarti mashed potatoes! we went to city creek for the first time. lastly, we just enjoyed being with family.
