christmas cookies

nana invited us to make christmas cookies with her.  as you can see, minnie is quite the little baker.  she also does sings a pretty mean karaoke christmas song.  christmas traditions bring such warmth to the soul.

out of the mouths of babes

minnie is fun...well, all sorts of fun.  we have been going over the pictures of the apostles and prophets.  they have a page in the children's friend, so we just put it on the fridge and review who they are.  the other day at church after an older gentleman who was balding and had glasses said the closing prayer, minnie pointed at him and said, "look!  it's elder eyring!"

then, the other day during family home evening, we asked her what song she wanted to sing.  her response:  rocka pages, aka rock of ages

i mean, i know i am her mom, so i am probably biased, but i'll say it anyway, she is a cute little rascal.

hope lighting up the streets

hope and i went to the candlelight walk with the sabey family the day after thanksgiving.  unfortunately, daddy and minnie had to stay home.  minnie had had a little too much excitement over the thanksgiving holiday and needed some down time at grandpa and grandma's house.  the candlelight is a fun littleton tradition where they light the christmas lights of downtown as santa rides on a float down the street and everyone follows.
