we're parents!
minnie mae sabey joined our family on february 3, 2012 at 2:32 am. she weighed 8 lbs. 2 oz. and was 20 inches long. she came a week and two days late and required quite a bit of coaxing. i was induced and 17 hours later she decided to make her grand entrance. giving birth is not for the faint of heart. in fact, as i was struggling through pushing and feeling completely exhausted i remember looking at christian and saying, "this is so much harder than lotoja." it was. but, it was amazing how the pain and exhaustion seemed to disappear for a few minutes when we saw our little girl and heard that sweet little cry.
