father's day & mother's day

this years father's day and mother's day were lovely.  

 (i know it was awhile back...slow to the punch.  you can judge.)  

first mother's day i've been a mom.

first father's day christian has been a dad. 

we sometimes talk about how we are a little slow at things.

we got married later than a lot of people we know.

we started a family a little later than most people we know. 

"we" are going to school a little later.

turns out, it doesn't really matter. 

it was worth the wait.  

and, while we are exhausted, we are really enjoying this phase of life. 

we love being minnie's mom and dad.

see some of the things we love below.   

somebody loves dr. seuss. 
particularly fox in socks. 

somebody loves sleeping.

sometimes she doesn't like sleeping at night.

so daddy needs a nap during the day. 

somebody loves the water. 

first time swimming.  

i think we've got ourselves a little fish.
