"we" finished "our" first year of school

i always used to think it was weird when a husband was going to school,
and the wife would say "we" are going to school.
i would judge them, okay.  i'm a judger.
oddly enough, over the past year, i have found myself saying "we" are going to school.
turns out WE are going to school.
christian is going to classes, writing papers, staying up late to work on homework.
but, i've found myself feeling anxious when he has a big assignment or a presentation.
i'm invested in this whole school gig, just like christian is.
we work on it together, just in different ways.
i now understand the phrase "we are going to school".
christian, minnie and i are all going to school.
one year down, three more to go.

Erin, I was once a judger of that phrase, too :). Until Nick went back to school after we had Claire. Lots of late nights, missing dinner and bedtime, homework on the weekends, and I realized that it's true that the wife picks up the slack and can take a little bit of the credit. At least, I did :).
